Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) is a leading institute devoted to Academic, Technology Support and Research (ATR) for the Plastics and allied industries in India. The institute is affiliated to the Anna University. The institute conducts the CIPTE JEE entrance exam for admission to courses in Plastics Engineering.


Eligibility

The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates who have appeared for 10+2 during the year of admission for CIPTE may also apply The candidates going to appear for the 10+2 exams in 2013 are also eligible to apply. Only candidates below the age 21 years should apply for CIPTE JEE.


Syllabus

The syllabus of CIPTE JEE includes topics based on general knowledge and the subjects at the qualification exam level which is the 10+2 syllabus.


Pattern

The entrance exam has two papers with 100 questions in total. All the questions are objective with multiple choice answers. The exam duration is 3 hours for each papers. The test has questions based on Physics, Chemistry, Maths and General Knowledge. The candidates can choose from Hindi or English to answer the test. There are some sections in the test where negative marking is given.
