Diploma Entrance Test in short DET is conducted by different State Councisl for Technical Education & Vocational Training in collaboration with Directorate of Technical Education & Training for admission into different engineering and technology, pharmacy, architecture, beauty culture and medical related diploma courses in different polytechnic colleges and diploma engineering schools in India. Anyone can get qualified in part time, vocational and full time diploma in Architecture, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Technology, Computer Software Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Fashion Technology, Food Processing Technology, Footwear Technology, Handicrafts and Furniture Design, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Information Technology, Interior Decoration, Leather Goods Technology, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Technology, Metallurgical Engineering, Mine Surveying, Mining Engineering, Modern Office Practice and Management, Packaging Technology, Pharmacy, Photography, Printing Technology, Survey Engineering and many courses.


Eligibility

The candidates appearing or having passed 10th Standard Examination of Board of Secondary Education of the respective states with at least 35% of Marks in aggregate having passed in Mathematics & Science are eligible to apply.


Syllabus

The syllabus of DET is based on the syllabus of the 10th standard board exam of the respective state governments or the central board (CBSE)


Pattern

There is a composite question paper of 1 hr 40 minutes duration consisting of 100 multiple choice questions of one mark each from the following subjects

1. English (25 question)

2. Aptitude & General Awareness Test(25 question)

3. Mathematics(25 question)

4. Science(25 question)
