The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). This is an all India level, computer based test (CBT) which is conducted online. Candidates wishing to study various graduate level management programs approved by AICTE have to clear this test.


Eligibility

Candidates must have graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum score of 50% marks. Those candidates who are studying in the Final year of their Graduate Courses are also eligible.


Syllabus

The syllabus of the test will focus on the following areas of the candidates skills: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness.


Pattern

Candidates have to answer the test online and the questions will be objective with multiple choice answers. The division of marks & topics is as follows:

  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation: 25 questions, 100 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 25 questions, 100 marks
  • Language Comprehension: 25 questions, 100 marks
  • General Awareness: 25 questions, 100 marks

here will be a negative marking of -1 mark for each incorrect answer. Candidates have a total of 3 hours to complete the test.


How to Apply

Candidates have to apply online and pay Rs.1200 (General/OBC candidates) & Rs.600 (SC/ST/PD candidates)
