The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts the national level entrance exam to grant admission to all the post graduate MD and MS courses of its Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS). The University was founded by Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya in the year 1916 and is one of the oldest universities of the country. The university has several institutes offering education in medicine, technology, sciences and humanities.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this entrance test,

candidates should be M.B.B.S degree holders from a recognized Central or State board.

Candidates should have completed 1 year rotating internship. Candidates should be between the ages of 17 to 27 years.
Syllabus
Syllabus for BHU MD/MS entrance test will be based on the subjects of M.B.B.S exam.
Pattern
Candidates have to answer a single question paper in the BHU MD/MS entrance test. There will be a total of 200 objective questions with multiple choice answers. Each correct answer gets 4 marks and each incorrect answer gets a negative score of -1 mark.

Candidates can also write to the Office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University by paying Rs.100/- through DD in the name of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, make payable at Varanasi. The application fee has of Rs 2000 has to be sent by MICR DD along with the completed application form.
