Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (MGIMS), Maharashtra was established in the year 1969. It offers programmes in medical science and related studies.


Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed the SSC (senior secondary examination) of Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Maharashtra, CBSE board or any other equivalent examination.
  • Candidates should have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB Candidate must have studied English language as one of the subjects.
  • The applicant must have attended age of 17 before 31st December of the year of admission.

Syllabus

The syllabus for this entrance exam is based on Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology subjects of the 10+2 level.

Candidates also have to answer a paper on Gandhian Thought.


Pattern

The exam is divided into two papers:

Paper I has questions from Physics and Chemistry & Biology. 60 questions are asked per subject. The questions are objective with multiple choice answers. Candidates have to complete the paper in 3 hours. There is no negative marking for this paper.

Paper II has questions based on Gandhian Thoughts. There are a total of 60 marks for this paper, and candidates have 3 hours to complete this paper. The questions are short answer or essay type questions. Candidates have the option to answer this paper in Hindi or English.
