The Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Maharashtra, conducts the Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical Common Entrance Test (MH PGM CET) for admission to Post Graduate Medical courses available in different medical institutes and colleges of Maharashtra. There are 18 medical institutes in Maharashtra where admission is done through PGM CET.


Eligibility

  • Candidates should be M.B.B.S degree holders and should have completed one year internship training from recognized medical college;
  • The candidate must have obtained Medical registration either from the Medical Council of India or Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC).
  • Candidates who have passed postgraduate diploma course will be eligible for admission to postgraduate degree registration in the same subject.

Syllabus

The syllabus for PGM CET is based on the subjects studied in the respective under graduates classes.


Pattern

There are two question papers in the exam, and candidates have 3 hours for each paper. The papers will be available in Hindi & English languages.

Each question paper will have three parts covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions will be objective with multiple choice answers. Questions are designed to test the reasoning, comprehension, and analytical ability in the above mentioned subjects. Negative marking will be awarded in some sections.
