The Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association in Uttar Pradesh has the responsibility to conduct the UPCMET. Candidates who successfully clear this entrance test are eligible for admission to MBBS in private Medical Colleges across Uttar Pradesh.


Eligibility

  • Candidates must be 10+2 pass from UP Board / ISC / CBSE or any other recognized education board in the country.
  • The candidate must have studied English language as a subject, & scored at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Candidates should be between the ages of 17 and 25.

Syllabus

The syllabus for this entrance test will cover the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology and the topics of each subject will be based on the syllabus of the 11th & 12th Standards.


Pattern

UPCMET test paper is divided into two papers, and there will be objective questions with multiple choice answers in each paper.

Paper I has questions from Physics & Biological Sciences. The paper has two sections: Section A has questions on Physics (50 questions) & Chemistry (50 questions). Section B has questions on Botany (50 questions) & Zoology (50 questions). Candidates have 2.30 hours to finish this question paper. The paper is for a total of 200 marks.

Paper II has questions based on English language. The question paper will have 50 questions to test the general English language skills of the candidate. The paper has to be completed in 30 minutes. The paper is for a total of 50 marks.

Incorrect answers will fetch negative marking of -1/4 marks for each wrong answer.
