Junior Engineer (CPWD) Exam

The staff selection commission conducts the entrance examination across all over the country for recruiting junior engineers in the CPWD departments. This examination is conducted basically to become a SSC junior engineer. This examination is mostly conducted for the betterment of the students and for providing placement strategies for them.

Eligibility

• The students should have a diploma from the recognized university or recognized institute.
• The diploma in Civil or electrical engineering will be very beneficial.
• The students can also have a diploma from the Indian university .
• The students having a bachelor’s degree in these streams can also apply for the same.

Syllabus

• The syllabus consists of General engineering and general awareness.
• For the post of Indian economic service, you need to appear for the above mentioned subjects .
• The age criteria should be in below 27 years.
• There are 2 parts in the written examination test.
• The examination consists of one written entrance examination and then the interview.

Pattern

• Students need to appear for the entrance test at their respective examination centres.
• The examination is conducted for 500 marks.
• There are two rounds of examination.
• The Part1 contains written examination or proficiency test for 200 marks.
• The Part II contains Personality or interview test which is of 300 marks.
• The two papers contain varieties of subjects that should be cleared. For example:- It contains subjects like:-Civil engineering, soil mechanics, surveying, concrete technology, circuit laws, A.C.fundamentals, fluid mechanics, Theory of mechanics etc.

How to Apply

• The students who meet the above criteria can fill the application forms that are given at the university’s website www.ssc.nic.in.
• The students should send the application forms with the attested certificate copies of their documents on the address prescribed in the application forms.
