Type: Employment Notices

All the eligible candidates are invited for the posts of Scientist / Engineer-SC. Selected candidates will be posted to work under the guidance of experienced senior Scientists / Engineers at VSSC / ISRO.

Note

• Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of personal interview. Short-listed candidates will be informed about the schedule and venue of the interview, individually.
• Candidates can register online by visiting the official link of VSSC: http://www.vssc.gov.in/internet/. The online registration has already been started from  2^nd Jan, 2012 (10.00 hrs) and will close on   16^th Jan, 2012 (17.00 hrs).

Eligibility Conditions

For Post No. 1193

• Should have obtained M Sc Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture, or
• Should have obtained B Tech Degree in Agricultural Engineering from AICTE approved Agricultural Engineering College, or
• Should have pursued B Sc (Hons) Agriculture (4 years course)

For Post No. 1194

• Should have obtained M Sc Degree in General Chemistry

For Post No. 1195

•  Should have obtained BE / B Tech Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering

For Post No. 1196

• Should have obtained BE / B Tech Degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering

Note

• B.E / B.Tech / M.Sc or equivalent qualification should be in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks.
• B.Sc (Hons) should be in First Class.
• For Post No. 1193, specialization in Agronomy and two year experience in the relevant field is desirable.
• Rounding-off of marks is not allowed.
• The vacancies do not fall under the points reserved for Persons with Disabilities.
• The number of vacancies indicated above is provisional and may vary depending on the actual requirements.
• “Government strives to have a workforce, which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply”
• Children / family members of those who died in the riots of 1984 will be given preference in recruitment by giving necessary age relaxation as applicable.

Required Age

As on  16^th Jan, 2012 Maximum age limit is 35 years, 38 years for OBC and 40 years in the case of SC/ST candidates. However, for all posts, the minimum age prescribed as on January 16, 2012 is 18 years. Ex-Servicemen & Persons with Disability (PWD) are eligible for age relaxation as per Government rules.

How to Apply

• Candidates, who fill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, can apply online by visiting the official link of VSSC: http://www.vssc.gov.in:8080/RMT267/rmt267.htm
• After successful submission of the online application form, the system will generate the confirmatory copy of the application, the printout of which should taken by the candidates.
• Printed application form, along with candidate’s latest photograph and testimonial, should be sent through speed post to the Senior Administrative Officer, Recruitment & Review Section, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) - 695022, Kerala, latest by January 23, 2011.
• The applications should be sent in an envelope with the heading “Registration No, Advertisement No. VSSC-267, Dated 31^st Dec, 2011”.
