Applications are invited from well-qualified and experienced candidates for following various Faculty positions:

Professor (ECE / CSE / EEE)
Associate Professor (ECE / CSE / EEE / Mechanical / Math / Physics / Chemistry)
Assistant Professor (ECE / CSE / EEE / Mechanical / Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / English)

Note

The appointment is to be done on permanent / contract / deputation basis. Candidates’ selection will be done on the basis of their performance in the academic qualification, work experience, and personal interview.
Only short-listed candidates will be called for the interview.

Eligibility Conditions

For Professor (ECE / CSE / EEE)

Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with 1st class or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute
PhD Degree in appropriate discipline from a recognized University
Minimum five years of teaching / research at the level of Associate Professor level or minimum eight years of teaching experience with AGP of Rs 8000
Should have guided minimum one research at PhD level

For Associate Professor (ECE / CSE / EEE / Mechanical / Math / Physics / Chemistry)

Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with 1st class or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute
PhD Degree in appropriate discipline from a recognized University
Minimum eight years of working experience as Assistant Professor, out of which minimum 3 years should be at AGP Rs 8000
Should have guided research at PhD level

For Assistant Professor (ECE / CSE / EEE / Mechanical / Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / English)

For Regular Appointment:
- Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with 1st class or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute
- Ph.D Degree in appropriate discipline from a recognized University
For Contractual Appointment:
- Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with 1st class or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute
- M.Tech / M.Phil Degree in appropriate discipline from a recognized University

Application Fee: Rs 500/- (Exempted for SC / ST / PWD candidates)

For paying the application form, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs 500, drawn in the favor of National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, payable at Shillong.
Candidates should mention their name, address and post applied for on the reverse side of the DD.
Application form duly complete in all respect, along with the DD and Xeroxed copies of all relevant certificates / documents, should be submitted to The Director, NIT Meghalaya, Meghalaya State Technical Education Council Building, Laitumkhrah, Shillong (Meghalaya) - 793003, by post.
Candidates should mention “Application for the Post of __________ & Department of __________”, on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
Candidates should apply with separate application form for each post.
