The Institute of Chemical Technology, previously known as the University Department of Chemical Technology is a University of higher education in Chemical Engineering situated in the city of Mumbai, state of Maharashtra, India. The University was initially founded in the year of 1933 as a Department of Chemical Technology of the University of Mumbai. The University achieved its autonomous status in the year of 1994, was renamed to the Institute of Chemical Technology and on the 12th of September 2008 it was awarded a deemed University status. The ICT is indisputably one of the best Institutions of higher education for chemistry in India.
