The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad, also known as IIIT-A, is an institute of higher learning in Information technology and other related fields and is situated in the city of Allahabad, state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The University was established in the year of 1999 and was awarded the status of a Deemed University in the year of 2000, by the Government of India. IIIT Allahabad also holds titles for being a Centre of Excellence and as an Institute of National Importance. The campus of this IIIT lies at Jhalwa, outside the city of Allahabad on a 100 acre piece of land.

The campus has 3 computer centres with each of them having 6 distinct computer labs, electronics library, residential facilities for the faculty and the students and 16 lecture halls. The lab facilities at the Institute include, Basic Electronics Lab, Artificial Intelligence Lab, Basic and Advanced Programming Lab, CAD Lab, Bio Informatics Lab, Control Systems Lab, Communication Systems Lab, Digital Signal Processing Lab, Digital Electronics Lab, Electronics Workshop, Microprocessor Lab, Mobile Communications Lab, Embedded Systems Lab, Instrumentation Lab, Fiber Optics Lab, Image Processing Lab, Universal Digital Library, CUDA Lab and Printed Circuit Lab among many others. The campus also has a sports field, tennis and basketball courts and a Student Activity Centre which plays host to a swimming pool, gym, indoor games and other facilities. The campus also holds a shopping centre, a cafeteria and a health centre.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad offers various degrees such as a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering or Information Technology, an MBA course in IT, a Master of Science in Cyber Law in Information Security, an M.Tech in Biomedical engineering among other specialized technical courses.
