The University of Delhi - Faculty of Medical Sciences, conducts the Delhi University Medical/Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) for admission to the bachelor medical and dental courses MBBS and BDS in University of Delhi. The exam is held only in the capital, Delhi, and is open only to candidates who have passed their 11th & 12th standard exams from Delhi.


Eligibility

Candidates seeking to take this medical entrance test must have cleared their 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects from a recognized school from Delhi only. The candidates must have cleared Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks aggregate in the PCB group. The candidate should be 17 years old at the time the Test will be conducted. Physically Handicapped candidates with disability of lower limbs from are eligible and may apply as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India.


Syllabus

The syllabus for the DUMET is similar to the 12th standard exam of Delhi Board.


Pattern

There are 2 question papers in the DUMET and both papers have objective questions with multiple choice answers.

Paper I has questions from Physics & Chemistry, and has 600 marks in total.

Paper II has questions from Botany & Zoology, and has 600 marks in total. Both the papers need to be solved in 2.30 hours each.
