The Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University in Lucknow conducts the UP CMT for the government of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who pass this entrance test are eligible for admissions to the dental and medical courses in institutes and universities of Uttar Pradesh.


Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 exam in the science stream with Physics, English ,Chemistry and Biology and as one of subjects.
  • Candidates must have scored 50% average marks in the Science subjects.
  • Those who wish to study the BAMS Course should have passed the Madhyama Examination from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi.
  • Those who wish to study the BUMS course should have passed the 10+2 examination with Urdu.
  • Those who wish to study the MBBS/BDS Course, should meet the eligibility criteria as set by the Medical Council of India.
  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age at the time of application. Candidates should be residents of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Syllabus

The syllabus for UP CPMT exam will be based on the +2 level syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.


Pattern

The exam is divided into two parts: One part for Botany & Zoology and another part for Physics & Chemistry. There will be 100 questions each for both the sections and candidates have 2 hours each for both the sections.

The questions will be objective with multiple choice answers.

Then, the candidates have to appear for one more paper for Hindi Language which tests the general proficiency of the candidate in this language . This paper too has objective questions with multiple choice answers.
