The Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan conducts the Rajasthan Pre Engineering test for candidates seeking admission to various graduate level engineering courses in colleges in Rajasthan.


Eligibility

  • Candidates must have passed with 10 + 2 (Board of Secondary Education of Rajasthan or equivalent) with a minimum of 45% aggregate ·
  • Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Bio-technology / Computer Science / Biology as optional subjects.
  •  Age Limit: Candidates must have been born on or after October 01, 1988

Syllabus

The entrance examination syllabus is based on the subjects of physics, chemistry and mathematics. The topics are similar to those studied by the candidate at 10+2 level.

Physics

Measurement and Units, Dynamics of a Particle, Dynamics of a System of Particles, Intermolecular Forces, Radiation, Wave Motion, Kinetic Theory of Gases, First Law of Thermodynamics, Nature of Light, Electrostatics, Electric Circuits, Magnetic Field, Alternating Current Circuits, Simple Harmonic Motion, Modern Physics, and Electronics.

Chemistry

Development of Classical Model of an Atom, The Theory of Chemical Bonding, Chemical Equilibrium and Ionic Equillibria, Chemical Kinetics, The Periodic Law, Acids and Bases, Metals, s-Block Elements, and d-Block Elements.

Mathematics

Algebra, Matrices, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Co-ordinate Geometry, and Probability


Pattern

RPET exam has a single question paper with a total of 120 marks. Each subject (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) is allotted 40 marks. Each correct answer gets one mark and there is no negative marking. The question paper will have all the questions in both Hindi and English Languages.
