Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full-time/part-time Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in various disciplines at following faculties for 2013-14.

• Faculty of Arts
• Faculty of Science
• Faculty of Marine Sciences
• Faculty of Indian Languages
• Faculty of Education
• Faculty of Fine Arts
• Faculty of Agriculture 

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates holding master’s degree with 55% of marks or a minimum of 6.0 OGPA out of 10 or equivalent grade point average for courses in the Faculties of Arts, Education, and Indian Languages and 60% of marks are eligible to apply.
  
  
• For programs in the Faculty of Science, 55% in M.Sc., with a first class in M.Phil degree in the concerned subject or its equivalent grade point average in the relevant discipline of this university or any other university accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto. Preference will be given to those who have passed the NRF/NET/GATE examinations are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

• The applications that fulfil the conditions will be scrutinized by a doctoral committee consisting of the proposed guide. The candidate will have to appear for a written test and an interview (75 marks + 25 marks).
