Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi & Kolkata, announced registration open for written (entrance) test for admission to MBA (IB) for the academic session 2014-2016. The test would to be conducted on 24 Nov, 2013. Interested candidates should send their applications for Registration for written test till 3 Sep, 2013.

Important Dates:

  • Last date for Receipt of applications: 3 Sep, 2013
  • Last date for obtaining the prospectus through post: 20 Aug, 2013
  • Last date for obtaining the prospectus across the counter at IIFT: 3 Sep,  2013
  • Date for written test: 24 November 2013 (10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon)
  • Last date for obtaining prospectus for Foreign Nationals / NRIs / Children of NRIs: 15 Feb, 2014
  • Last date for receipt of applications for Foreign Nationals / NRIs / Children of NRIs: 15 Feb, 2014

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years duration) in any discipline.Candidate appearing for their final year Graduation examination are also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Written (entrance) test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview.

On the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test, short-listed / selected candidates will be called for the 2nd stage of the selection process -- Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview -- to be held at 7 centers across the country.

Fee Payment Mode: Candidates can deposit the fee online through IIFT online application link.

Candidates not using credit / debit card to pay the fees should get a crossed demand draft of the applicable amount drawn in favour of ‘INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE’, payable at NEW DELHI, as the they will be required to fill the DD details in the online application form.

Amount for which the Demand Draft has to be drawn:

  • For General / OBC category candidates: Rs. 1500
  • For SC / ST / PH category candidates: Rs. 750
  • For Foreign National / NRI / Children of NRI candidates: US$ 75 (Rs. 4000)

While sending the DD with the application print out, candidates should mention their full name, address and application number, on the reverse of the demand draft.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should send / submit their duly filled in application form along with fee DD and attested copies of required documents to ‘Sh. Gaurav Gulati, SAO(Academics), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi-110 016’ through Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier only, so as to reach the said office by 3 September 2013.

Candidates can also apply online through IIFT website

After filling and taking the printout of the online submitted application form, candidates should tear it along the dotted line and send the bottom portion along with Fee DD, if required, and attested copies of required documents to ‘Sh. Gaurav Gulati, SAO(Academics), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi-110 016’ through Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier only, so as to reach the said office by 3 September 2013.

How to obtain application form: Prospectus and Application Form can be obtained by making cash payment at ‘Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21,Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi- 110016’ OR ‘J-1/14, EP& GP Block, 7th Floor, Sec –V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata -700091” on all working days till 3 September 2013.

Prospectus and Application Form can also be obtained through Post by sending

  • A request application stating your mailing address
  • A crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE’ payable at ‘NEW DELHI’. Candidates should mention their name and address on the back of the Demand Draft
  • Two self addressed adhesive stickers / name slips with address (not the envelope) for sending the brochure and application form to Sh. Gaurav Gulati, SAO(Academics), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi - 110 016 latest by 20 August 2013.

SC / ST / PH candidates claiming reservation benefits should bring requisite Category Certificate with them (for cash) OR attach self attested Category Certificate copy.

NOTE: Foreign nationals, NRIs and children of NRIs will be admitted on the basis of their General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) scores. The GMAT score declared after 1 January 2012 will only be considered. Applications from these candidates should reach the Institute by 31 March 2014.
