Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in major research areas of the institute for 2013-14. 

Eligibility Conditions

• The candidate must be first class in 10th, 10+2 and greater than 70% or 7.0 CPI (on a scale of 10) marks (65% or 6.5 CPI (on a scale of 10) for SC/ST) in the respective bachelor’s and master’s degree.
  
  
• For Ph.D admission in Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Cyber Laws & Information Security, candidates must have M.Tech degree or M.S (CS/CLIS)/M.Sc (CS/EC/IT/ECE/Mathematics/Statistics/Fiber-Optics) with valid GATE score.

How to Apply

• Applicants are required to apply online. Application fee is Rs.500 for general/OBC and Rs.250 for SC/ST candidates. The payments are made through demand draft only. The DD should be made in favor of “IIIT Allahabad” on any nationalized bank payable at Allahabad.
  
  
• The demand draft, printed online application form, two reference letters in the prescribed format along with all supporting documents must be sent latest by 10^th Jul, 2013 to:

Selection Procedure

• The selection of candidates is done based on the test & interviews conducted by IIIT Allahabad. The Ph.D cell will then evaluate the candidate’s eligibility and credentials two times in a year normally in the months of June and December.

• Last date of applying online and receipt of completed application forms: 30^th Jun, 2013 (Sunday)
• Date of test & interviews (for short listed candidates): 20^th Jul, 2013 (Saturday) and 21^st Jul, 2013 (Sunday)
