Applications are invited from eligible and capable SC / ST / PH candidates under special recruitment drive 2012 for the following positions in Administration and Technical Cadre:

• Deputy Registrar (Group A)
• Junior Technical Superintendents (Group B)
• Junior Technician (Group C) 

Note

• Appointment of the candidates is to be done on regular / deputation / contract basis, for a period of five years.
• Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of written test / trade test and personal interview.

Eligibility Conditions 

For Deputy Registrar

• Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute
• Minimum 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or minimum 9 years of working experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs 6000 and above in the relevant field
• Junior Technical Superintendents
• M Sc / B Tech / BE Degree in the relevant field or B Sc Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University / Institute with minimum 2 years of working experience in the relevant field Or
• Three years of Diploma in Engineering subject from a recognized University / Institute with minimum 3 years of working experience in the relevant field Or
• ITI Certificates in the relevant trade from a recognized Institute with minimum 5 years of working relevant field experience in the relevant field
• Good working knowledge of Computer Applications. 

For Junior Technician

• B Sc Degree in the relevant field or three years of Diploma in Engineering in the relevant field from a recognized University / Institute OR
• ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized Institute with minimum 3 years of working experience in the relevant field
• Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
• Minimum one year of working experience in the field is desirable. 

Required Age

• 55 years: Deputy Registrar
• 25-40 years: Junior Technical Superintendents
• 18-35 years: Junior Technician 

Application Fee

• Rs 100/- Deputy Registrar
• Rs 50/- Junior Technical Superintendents / Junior Technician

• Candidates can also obtain the application form personally from the campus counter or by sending a self-addressed envelope (28 cm x 12 cm size) with an affixed postage stamp of Rs 10 on it, to the Registrar (Attn.), Recruitment Section, Room No. 224, 2nd Floor (Faculty Building), IIT Kanpur, Kanpur (UP) - 208016.
• For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs 100 / Rs 50, drawn in favor of Registrar, IIT Kanpur, payable at Kanpur.
• Application form, duly complete in all respect, along with the DD and photocopies of all required certificates, should be submitted to The Registrar (Attn.), Recruitment Section, Room No. 224, 2nd Floor (Faculty Building), Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur (UP) - 208016, by post on or before April 30, 2012.
• Candidates should mention “Name of the Post Applied For _________” on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
• Candidates should apply with separate application form, DD and envelope for each post.
