Applications are invited from well-qualified and skilled for the posts of Research Scientists for the following positions:

• Scientist E
• Scientist D / Engineer (Library, Information & Publication Division / Computer Engineer-HPC)
• Scientist C / Engineer (Mechanical)

• Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in academics, work experience and personal interview.

Eligibility Conditions 

For Scientist E

• Master’s Degree or its equivalent qualification in Meteorology / Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography / Physics / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Physics / Geophysics
                                                                     or
  Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering / Technology with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Minimum 11 years of working experience of research work in the field

For Scientist D (Library, Information & Publication Division)

• Master’s Degree or its equivalent qualification in Meteorology / Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography / Physics / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Physics / Geophysics
                                                                          or
   Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering / Technology with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Minimum 7 years of research experience Atmospheric / Oceanic Sciences and in allied subjects or minimum 5 years of working experience in documentation, technical writing, report writing, editorial work, publication, dissemination of information, science popularization, liaison, etc. at R&D Institution / University

For Scientist D / Engineer (Computer Engineer-HPC)

• Master’s Degree in Science / Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institute
  
  
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Unix Systems Administration

For Scientist C / Engineer (Mechanical)

• Master’s Degree in Meteorology / Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography / Physics / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Physics / Geophysics or BE / B Tech / M Tech Degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute with minimum 3 years of research experience in Atmospheric / Oceanic Sciences, related to weather and climate
  
                                                           Or
• Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering / Technology (Mechanical) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University with minimum 3 years of experience in Installation and Maintaining sophisticated scientific equipments in a reputed scientific R&D organization. 

Required Age

• Scientist E / Scientist D: 50 years
• Scientist C: 40 years
