Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs) has invited applications from Indian nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer. The appointment to the post will be temporary and based on an entrance exam.

The Tier 1 exam will be conducted on October 25 and Tier 2 will be conducted in January 2018.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification:

Aspiring candidates should be pursued graduation or equivalent from a recognised university. Possessing knowledge of computers is a must.

Age Limits

The age of the candidates should not exceed 27 years and must be a minimum of 18 years. Relaxation in age will be provided as per the government norms.

Pay Scale

The selected candidates will be offered a monthly salary of Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800, along with a grade pay of Rs 4,200.

Examination Scheme

  • Written Exam 150 marks
  • Interview: 100 marks

Important Points

  • There will be negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer in Tier-I
  • No marks would be awarded for an un-attempted question
  • Only those candidates would be called for Tier-II exam who come up to a certain standard in Tier- I. For Tier-II examination, there will be a minimum cut off marks of 33 per cent
  • On the basis of their combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, the candidates would be short listed for the interview
