Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programs for the session 2016. 

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) offered at Meenakshi Medical College and Research Institute
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc (N)) at Meenakshi College of Nursing, Faculty Of Nursing at Medical College Campus
• Doctor of Medicine (D.M.) in Gastroenterology
• Doctor of Medicine (D.M.) in Cardiology
• Doctor of Medicine (D.M.) in Neurology
• Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) in Urology

Eligibility Conditions

For MBBS

• HSC or equivalent qualifying examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology with marks prescribed by the MCI.

For BDS

• HSC or equivalent qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English with marks prescribed by the DCI.

For B.Sc.(N)

• HSC or equivalent qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English with marks prescribed by the INC.

For D.M

• Candidates should have obtained PG degree of MD(Medicine) or MD(Paediatrics) or MD(Geriatrics) are eligibile to apply for this couse.

For M.Ch

• Candidates should have obtained PG degree of MS(Surgery) are eligibile to apply for this program. 

How to Apply

• Application form and brochure for MBBS and BDS programs can be obtained on payment of Rs. 1000 by cash and Rs. 500 for B.Sc (N) degree courses.To receive the application by post for MBBS and BDS, the candidate should send a requisition letter along with a demand draft of Rs. 1100 and for B.Sc (N) a demand draft of Rs. 600 as the case may be drawn in favor of The Registrar, MAHER payable at Chennai.The application form can also be downloaded and submitted along with the demand draft for Rs 1000 for MBBS and BDS courses and Rs 500 for B.Sc (N) degree courses.
  
  
• Application form and brochure for D.M. & M.Ch.can be obtained on payment of Rs. 2000 by cash. To receive the application by post for MBBS and BDS, the candidate should send a requisition letter along with a demand draft of Rs. 2100 as the case may be drawn in favor of The Registrar, MAHER payable at Chennai.

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be based on the basis of their performance in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the University on all India basis.

Test Centres for UG programs

• Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and New Delhi.

Test Centres for PG programs

• Chennai.

Important Dates

For MBBS,BDS and B.Sc(N) Programs:

• Last date for receipt of applications: 30^th Apr, 2016.
• Date of Common Entrance Test: 28^th May, 2016.

For D.M and M.Ch Programs:

• Last date for receipt of applications: 25^th Jun, 2016.
• Date of Common Entrance Test: 09^th Jul, 2016.
