Rajasthan High Court has ordered the state government to conduct the Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test 2014 examination again.

RMPT is conducted for MBBS and Veterinary courses seats and was introduced this year for Rajasthan candidates.

The exam which was held last month has been discarded by the court on the grounds of inconsistency in the question paper, as alleged by the students who appeared in the examination.

The results of 44,000 candidates was declared on 05 June 2014, were about 86 questions were deleted as the answers to these questions were not found in any of the options mentioned in the questions paper. Even the options of 42 questions were changed from what it was before provided in the answer key.

Due to different number of wrong questions in different slots, confusions created with ranking of the candidates.  Some candidates faced huge variations from the others even though scoring equal percentile out of those considered correct questions. The problem further increased after authorities came up with the solution to award 4 bonus marks for each wrong question, which led to more uneven distribution of the marks.

Ultimately students who appeared in the examination demanded cancellation of the results and for fresh re-examination.
