Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full-time/part-time/off-campus programme under MHRD/TEQIP-II/under various fellowship schemes of govt. of India for 2013. 

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mathematics 
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Humanities & Social Sciences 

Eligibility Conditions

For Ph.D in Applied Sciences Program

• The applicant must have a master degree in relevant science subject with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree are eligible to apply.

For Ph.D in Humanities & Social Sciences Program

• The applicant must have a master degree in appropriate discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree are eligible to apply.

• Candidates can send the application form along with fee in the form of crossed bank draft for Rs.500 drawn in favour of the Registrar, NIT Hamirpur (HP)-177005, payable at State Bank of India, NIT Hamirpur (Branch Code No. 10367).
  
  
• Duly filled/completed application should reach in the office of

  Hamirpur (HP)-177005                                            by 2^nd Aug, 2013 upto 5.00PM. 

Selection Procedure

• The applications shall be scrutinized by the Departmental Selection Committee (DSC) of different departments/centres.
  
  
• The selection process for admission to Ph.D. program shall be in two stages:
  • Stage-I: All the shortlisted candidates found eligible are required to qualify in a written examination in the relevant discipline conducted by the institute on 13^th Aug, 2013 at 9.00AM.
  • Stage-II: The candidates who qualify to stage-II shall appear for interview and presentation on 14^th Aug, 2013 at 9.00AM before the duly constituted Departmental Selection Committee (DSC).

• Date of written test: 13^th Aug, 2013 (Tuesday)
